Call Emergency

Are you unsure about the Urgency? If you're not sure if your situation is an emergency, check out our emergency tips. You can schedule a 15-minute consultation with your own dentist via our online agenda. During this consultation, your dentist will evaluate the seriousness of the situation.

Emergency Tips for Dental Emergencies

Extruded Tooth

• Find the tooth that has been knocked out.
• Do not touch the tooth at the root to prevent damage to the root membrane.
• Only rinse the tooth briefly (maximum 10 seconds) with milk or cold water if it is very dirty.
• Try to put the tooth back into the jaw as quickly as possible.
• Important: Never replace baby teeth.
• If replacement fails, store the tooth safely:
• In the victim's mouth between the cheek and molars.
• In milk.
• In eyeglass.
• Remember: the longer the tooth is dry, the less likely it is to recover after being replaced.

Action: Come directly to our practice for help!

Fallen on a Tooth

• Collect any broken pieces of the tooth.
• Contact us immediately for an emergency consultation; we'd love to see you the same day.
• Visit us anytime, even if it's a baby tooth.
• In case of serious head or facial injuries, call the Emergency Department first.

Toothache with Fever and/or Swallowing Problems

• Inflammations can cause swelling that makes swallowing difficult.
• Acting quickly is essential. Contact us immediately for an emergency consultation.
• In case of fever caused by mouth infections, we want to see you as soon as possible.
• Outside opening hours, you can visit the Dental365 emergency dentist.

Toothache without Fever and Swallowing Problems

• Less urgent, but we aim to help you quickly.
• Call us early to get help the same day.
• Outside opening hours, you do not have to go directly to the emergency dentist.
• Use acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain.
• Stop taking painkillers four hours before your dental appointment so that the dentist can determine the cause and location of the pain.

Prolonged bleeding after tooth or tooth extraction

• Try to stop the bleeding yourself by biting on double-folded gauze for 30 minutes.
• If the bleeding does not stop, please contact us immediately.
• Outside our opening hours, call the Dental365 emergency dentist.
